Mestiere duro la gratuità
pericoloso quando così profondo
va al bersaglio non scelto
e arriva senza un controllo

va dove il male non si addentra
– il suo è un traffico superficiale
si espande indistinguibile
solo dove è sicuro di trovare –

ma oltre le fessure deboli
oltre le radici lontane
si nutrono e ricrescono
le chiome scosse dal dono.

dangerous when so deep

and arrives without control

it goes where evil does not hover
– its has a superficial trade
expanding indistinguishable
only where sure to find –

but beyond the weak cracks
beyond far away roots
feed and grow up
hair shaken by the gift.
